A Fellow Traveler
I approach therapeutic work as an equal, someone inside the community. I have ADHD and autistic traits myself, and I tend to connect with people who have also felt outside the mainstream. I've found a real sense of belonging in what Steve Silberman, in NeuroTribes, called “a convivial society of loners.”
Outside of clinical work, I've spent years as a music producer, audio engineer, and studio geek. Much of what I learned there applies to therapy: experiment, play, distinguish signal from noise, find the essential thing, and cut away whatever doesn't serve.
I was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest and have spent close to half my adult life in Latin America or Europe. I live in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico with my family. I speak fluent Spanish and work with clients in both languages. I've also become a father in recent years, and I'm happiest being a family man and watching my son grow up.
If we're a fit
If we're a fit, you can expect attuned listening, development of clear therapy goals, honest feedback, and weekly experiments that help translate insight into change that actually holds.
We start with a free 20-minute pre-consultation to clarify what's happening, what you want, and whether my approach matches what you're looking for. There's no pressure—it's just a conversation.
